Every year during the summer, my inlaws
do the coolest thing in the world called "Cousin Camp". They take all the grandkids for about 4 days and do all sorts of adventures with them. This year included Water parks, Zions, Horseback riding, Jumping Jacks, Crafts, & so much more! It is the highlight of the summer. Not only do they get to spend time with cousins and Grandparents, but they also get T-shirts each year, and then Nana makes a picture journal with them during the week to record their adventures! Seriously cool----huh!?
Anyway, Eric and I try to plan a trip for us during that time because it's less kids to dish out to friends and family. In order to be eligible for Cousin Camp, they have to be potty trained. That left us with Crew this year.
Johanna....the sweetest gal I know, offered to stay here with Crew so that Eric and I could get away. She and her sister Toni are so wonderful and they took the best care of Crew! He Loves them!!!
We took off to Vegas for a few days, and while there enjoyed the Cirque show, "Mystiere". We have seen "KA" as well, and they are both great just very different. We also ate @ "Diablous". (Eric's favorite). The pool @ Treasure Island was great, and that's where we spent a lot of our time. We also did a bit of outlet shopping and were able to get the kids some great school clothes for mega cheap! Before we headed down to sin ville, we thought we would start our Va-Ca off with the polar opposite atmosphere and go to the Vegas Temple. It was such a nice time and a much different experience than going to a busier Temple here in the Salt Lake area! We really enjoyed ourselves. Thanks so much to JoHanna, Toni, the Cunninghams, and Haslams for taking such good care of our kids and giving us the peace of mind we needed to take a great relaxing break!
